Presentation transcript:

 Quite often you could find that your home appliances have stalled, reduced on efficiency of their performance, or are giving pretty weird sounds while operating. When this happens, it might be a clear cut sign your home appliance is either no more, needs a repair, or simply maintenance.  The number of problems you face with your home appliances could be endless. Here are some of the most common ones and how to fix them.

 If your twin tub washing machine makes a horrible racket during the spin cycle you don’t have to think it over, the cabinet rocks, period! The easiest solution is to ensure your machine is not overloaded, and then readjust the legs.  Screw the legs until they are level and sitting pretty on the floor. For the rear legs you can tilt the washer forward and then backward to self adjust the legs.

 If your burner won’t start the likely culprit is the food spill that has built up on its igniter. The best way to resolve this, find a toothbrush and clean off the spills.  To find it on your electric stove it will be that little ceramic nub located on the top of the stove or under the ceramic seal plate. Try turning the stove on the moment you have cleaned it up.

 If your electric burner won’t heat, chances are it isn’t receiving any power from the socket. Here is what you should do, pull out the burner from the socket, plug it back again and wiggle it a bit to check if it’s loose.  If it is, unplug it and gently bend the burner prongs slightly outward for the tightest connection. Ask any electrical appliance stores expert on how to do it.

 If your dishes can’t get clean, the problem could be a food filled filter. If the filter is clogged, the water can’t make it to the spray arms and in turn clean the dishes.  To fix it, simply pull out the lower rack to remove the filter cover inside the dishwasher and then clean up the screen using a wet vacuum. Keep in mind that if it is jammed with cheese you won’t get any water.

 Many people buy great dryers at the best electrical appliances online only to find out their dryer can’t heat. As a technician when I am called to repair such problems I often check out on the one thing first, how is the dryer setting planed? It will surprise you but many dryers that I have gone to check are often set on “fluff air mode” – the non heating setting.  Avoid such moment, first check on the settings, find out if the dryer is really clean, before calling a technician.

 Your dryer can have a thin invisible film that reduces airflow and causes the thermostat to stop if it is not properly cleaned.  Meaning care and maintenance of home appliances should be a priority if you intend to keep problems at bay.
