Plan a Murder Mystery

Steps to a sample mystery party ( You can change) 1.Each guest receives a detailed character description in their invitation along with some background information on the party. 2.HOST READS AN INTRODUCTION TO THE PARTY. This explains how the night is to proceed. 3.GUESTS RECEIVE A PREPARED ENVELOPE WITH INFORMATION AND OBJECTIVES Guests start mingling and verbally sleuthing as they enjoy the party. 4.MURDER OCCURS!!! 5.INVESTIGATOR READS A SHORT SYNOPSIS OF HOW TO PROCEED Guests get more info and objectives and continue sleuthing as party continues. 6.INVESTIGATOR PRESENTS EVIDENCE Guests review evidence before making final accusations. 7.HOST HANDS OUT ACCUSATION SHEETS Guests guess the murderer and vote for best dressed, best acting, etc. 8.MURDERER IS REVEALED! Investigator reads explanation and host hands out awards.

Requirements You are to plan a mystery game that you solve that uses scientific principles either in the circumstance or in the solution. You need to use some unknowing participants. You will play the game and shoot a 3-5 minute “commercial” video that shows shots from your game. This will be submitted by Thursday /Friday June 2 and 3. We need to be able to watch the video in class. I suggest posting the video on Youtube.

Requirements continued In your game you will submit to me: the character roles of each person Announcement of the settings A map of the layout Completed guest interview cards (Guests interview to figure out who or what happened) Any comments that were read to the guests. A paragraph on how well you think the game went.
