WHAT I LEARNED IN DIGITAL LITERACY BY: LANE

I LEARNED THAT… PEOPLE WHO YOU MEET ONLINE MIGHT NOT BE WHO YOU THINK THEY ARE. AND YOU NEED TO BE CAREFUL OF WHAT YOU SAY ON THE INTERNET BECAUSE IT COULD HURT OTHER PEOPLE.

VIDEO GAMES IN DIGITAL LITERACY I LEARNED THAT SOME VIDEO GAMES CAN BE REALLY BAD AND SOMETIMES THE PEOPLE PLAYING CAN BE BAD. IN SOME VIDEO GAMES SUCH AS GRAND THEFT AUTO YOU CAN GET AWAY WITH HARMLESS PEOPLE, RAPING HOOKERS, AND RECKLESS DRIVING. AND ONLINE PEOPLE YOU DON’T KNOW WILLL SWEAR AT YOU AND SAY HURTFUL THINGS BECAUSE THEY CA N JUST HIDE BEHIND THE SCREEN.

PLAGERISM PLAGERISM IS A BIG DEAL IN MOST SCHOOLS, IT IS WHEN PEOPLE COPY OTHER PEOPLES WORK WITH OUT GIVING THEM ANY CREDIT FOR IT. IF YOU GET CAUGHT FOR THAT YOU WOULD HAVE TO REDO YOUR WORK, YOU CAN GET SUSPENDED OR LOSE YOUR SCHOLARSHIP FOR COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY

Facebook Facebook is an online social networking service, it was originally invented for other college students to be to able to talk amongst each other. Facebook has over one billion active users, of which 8.7% are fake. According to a May 2011 Consumer Reports survey, there are 7.5 million children under 13 with accounts and 5 million under 10, violating the site's terms of service.

CHAT ROOMS CHAT ROOMS ARE A GOOD WAY TO TALK TO FRIENDS OR FAMILY I GEUSS, BUT I WOULDENT RECOMMEND USING THEM BECAUSE MOST PEOPLE JUST TRY TO PICK UP LITTLE KIDS AND OR ARE JUST REALLY RUDE.

MY iPhone Its really good for communication with your parents when your out with friends or visit you aunt in Toronto. But you have to be super careful about what you say to your peers as they could screen shot it and post it on social media, which could cause some harsh backlash for you in the future. You must also be careful with how you use your phone.

SEXTING Sexting is the act of sending sexually explicit messages and/or photographs, primarily between mobile phones. The term was first popularized in early 21st century, and is a portmanteau of sex and texting, where the latter is meant in the wide sense of sending a text possibly with images. In August 2012, the word sexting was listed for the first time in Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary.

MUSIC Since the inception of Napster, illegal downloading has taken on a life both political and cultural, a lightning rod reshaping the way we consume music, the music is sold, and how we conceive of all the legal intricacies associated with copyright law. As widespread as illegal downloading may be--though it has been curbed, it remains rampant--there is still a fair amount of misinformation and confusion regarding the subject.

ONLINE BULLYING Cyber bullying is the use of the Internet and related technologies to harm other people, in a deliberate, repeated, and hostile manner. As it has become more common in society, particularly among young people, legislation and awareness campaigns have arisen to combat it.
