Cottage Grove Mercury Cottage Grove, OR On March 7, 2015, a property owner spilled elemental mercury onto the gravel/soil driveway. The property owner fell into the spilled mercury, washed himself in a bathroom sink and then drove his truck to his sister's house to call for assistance. Cottage Grove Mercury Cottage Grove, OR EPA cleaned up contaminated soils and assessed the bathroom in the residence; the property owner's clothing and truck; and the sister's house. Jantzen Beach Odor Complaints Portland, OR In support of ODEQ, EPA conducted limited short term air testing in the area from September 2015 through January 2016.

192 nd Street Drum Dump Tacoma, WA WA DOE reported 5 abandoned 55-gallon drums along the side of the road on 192 nd Street adjacent to a wetland. EPA characterized drums as containing waste flammable liquid. EPA overpacked and disposed of drums.
