VERY LITTLE HOPEHOPE

Only 50.5% of girls in Sudan are literate 60% of girls in Africa don’t receive a primary education In Sub Saharan Africa, just 17% of girls enroll in secondary schools. It's worse for girls who live in rural areas then urban areas. Girls in Ethiopia are educated for about 7 years, which is less than the boys.

AFRICA: %, STATISTIC & PHOTO

Girls also are denied access to education because of discrimination. Discriminatory policies, cultural suppression and family conditions deny girls an opportunity to fully realise their potential. Some kids have to get up early (4:30 am) to help around the house and get water and cook before taking a 2 hour walk to get to the nearest school. Research shows that in The Cote d'Ivoire the total literacy rate is 48.7%. 60.8% of males are literate, while 38.6% of females are.

BUT

YOU CAN BE THEIR HOPE
