Presentation transcript:

A geologists studies the composition, processes, and history of the earth. They try to find out how rocks were formed and what happened to them since formation. They also study the evolution of life.

Geologists conduct research’s to extend knowledge of surface and subsurface features of the earth, it’s history and the physical, chemical, and biological systems that control it’s evolution. They work a average of 45 hours.

Geologists often travel to remote field sites by helicopter or four- wheel drive vehicles and cover large areas on foot. They work long hours and it is a physical strain.

MATCHES: MISSES: Aggressive Sensitive Analytical Disorganized Patient Easily stressed Detailed-oriented

A bachelor’s degree in geology or geophysics is all right for some entry-level jobs. A master’s degree is a requirement for better jobs with good advancement A ph.D degree is required for most research positions.

Geologists may specialize in the following fields: mineralogy structural geology or tectonics volcanology environmental geology marine geology and other fields

Federal or provincial government Architectural Engineering Mining companies Non-ferrous metal smelting and refining companies

Geologists can study how Rose Bay has developed over the years. They can even study what has happened over the past years at Rose Bay. They can also study the evolution at Rose Bay by analyzing plant and animal fossils.
