Accelerator Installation Plan: Graphical representation E. Sargsyan & L. Lari DRAFT - March March 2016

Motivation Installation, Testing and Commissioning of the ESS Accelerator and Klystron Gallery is complex, with many constrains and in a short period of time Requires several activities in parallel Visualization in P6 is difficult in particular with respect to the areas Visual representation is necessary to understand better the sequence, parallel activities and cohabitation issues 2

Inputs Installation, Testing and Commissioning sequence from E. Tanke RFI dates and activity time windows from P6 Partial and full access dates from CF Discussions with different WPs (sequence, durations, resources, etc.) Naming convention 3

Not included  The focus was on the Tunnel and Klystron Gallery  The following is not included in the current installation plan:  Compressor Building (CPB) – was not in the scope  Gallery Technical Area (GTA) – was not in the scope  Coldbox Building (CXB) – was not in the scope  Gallery Support Area (GSA) – access date missing  A2T – access date missing 4

Summary / open issues Installation, Testing and Commissioning of the Accelerator & Gallery is complex and with many constrains – need to be well organized, with a daily coordination Parallel activities of different teams are necessary to meet June 2019 milestone A2T installation not considered due to missing access date Durations and number of teams/people are only estimates – need to write installation procedures and perform benchmark tests (sequence, duration), if necessary Need to write hardware commissioning/test procedures & synchronize the coordination with the installation Some RFI dates may need to be reviewed Need to consider the availability of PSS Stub fire and radiation sealing/shielding TBD (scope & budget) Still requires several iterations and review by all WPs - synchronization 16
