A Book Has Many Parts! Grade 3 Mrs. Ramseier One way to practice good book care is to make a cover for your own books, especially for a book you will keep for a long time! Covers help protect the pages inside of a book. It is just as important to take care of your own books as it is to take care of library books. So we are going to make a cover for the books you are creating. You may ask, What book is that? Well, I have been keeping all the activity sheets you have completed so far and we will be making a book out of them. As you continue to complete library activity sheets, I will continue to add them to your “book!” That way, at the end of the year, you will have a book of all the library skills you learned this year! You need to be thinking how you will design the cover for your book! First, though, we need to review the many parts of a book and what information you find on each so you can properly design and create your own book cover. Grade 3 Mrs. Ramseier
