Zack Characters: Zack……………………………………………….A high school student Etta Lane………………………………...Musician and mother of Zack Thomas Lane……………………………Academic and father of Zack Lucas Strait……………………………….Zack’s Maternal grandfather Ms. Song……………………………… Zack’s History teacher Jen Wilkes……………………..……..Zack’s girl-friend and classmate

The Story Zack is a average 16 year old boy, lives in his thought of a “ramshackle” house that was home to a big secret. But when he uncovers the truth behind a box and the enigmatic PAWPINE he see’s that it is his job to find out the secret between his family. His chance comes when his parents, dad being a academic and mom being a musician of blues, go on a 10 day trip to a blues festival and sees it as a opportunity to escape and look for his maternal grandfather. (continued)

The Story (Continued) On his way he meets many people, most of which have made racist comments and physically hurt him. He finally arrives at his grandpa’s house and some how tells his grandpa he is “Mike Wilkes” and came from Ohio. He then stays at his grandpa’s house for dinner and stays in his dads truck for the night. During the night he sees a figure holding a gun and goes out to investigate only to find out that it is...Lucas holding a fishing rod, he joins him after a messy reunion.

The Bulls-eye Process The secret is revealed! He starts his journey to Natchez, Mississippi Zack starts wondering about the family secret...

The Reckoning (my favorite part) These particular chapters (Part 4 ch1-6) have been very enigmatic and thorough at the same time, the way Lucas enters into the chapter when the Lane family thought he was out of their lives, and William bell using such magnificent words which I cant even find in the dictionary. I will tell you a little more about these chapters. Zack returns to Fergus in time to pick up his parents from the air Port, Zack tells them about his report card and tries to hide the mark that was left when a gigantic oak tree fell on the car while on his journey to Natchez. (continued)

( Continued) While in the midst of eating lunch, dad asks for some mustard and Zack blurts out that he took a trip to Mississippi and went to see his maternal grandfather. His mom took it as an insult told the family how betrayed she felt, Zack responds by fuming out his anger and telling how much he hated that his mom cut out her part of the family and despised the fact that there were such kind people he had never met all because of her.
