Education in Italy is compulsory from 6 to 16 years and is divided into five stages: kindergarten, primary school, lower secondary school, upper secondary school and university. Italy has both public and private education systems.

* Education in Spain is regulated by the Organic Law of Education. Education is obligatory and free for all children aged between 6 and 16 years. * Once students have finished first stage, they can take their University Exam, which differs greatly from region to region.

* The French educational system is highly centralized and organized. It is divided into three stages: * Primary education * Secondary education * Higher education.
