Braaem Independent Living is a school/center that caters for the children with special needs. It caters mostly for the special needs children of the immigrant workforce of Jeddah who suffer from variety of psychological or/and physical disorders.

As there are many families who cannot afford the gift of education for their children with special needs, BIL provides them with access to education and necessary therapies in a loving and caring environment. Equality in opportunity and starting life with the basic preparation is all about what BIL is trying to achieve. Our Vision

Purpose of Special Education Special education is designed to ensure that students with disabilities are provided with an environment that allows them to be educated effectively. Definition of Special Education : Special education refers to a range of educational and social services provided to individuals with disabilities.

- Physical disabilities, such as deafness or blindness; - Mental disabilities, such as Down's syndrome and autism ; - Medical conditions, such as oxygen dependence or traumatic brain injury; - Learning deficits, such as dyslexia ; and - Behavioral disorders, such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, (ADHD) and conduct disorders.
