 Concert Winds ( aka. -Freshman band), Symphonic band, Wind Symphony  Lessons  Chamber series- Germantown only solo ensemble  Solo Ensemble- same as middle school, we are hosting!  Jazz bands- class  Battle of the Bands  Band Locker- aka Black hole

Buttons You will receive a set of parent buttons. When new machine is ordered Please wear to All band events, EVEN IF YOUR STUDENT SAYS NOT TO.

MBM- Marching Band Madness 2nd Biggest fundraisers of the year 5 bands so far attending= VERY LARGE CROWD Save date Sept. 17 th ! WILL NEED ALL PARENTS HELP!!!!!! WILL NEED ALL PARENTS HELP!!!!!!

Feast and Follies The Biggest Fund Raiser of the Year Dinner, Variety show, and Auctions Please support the Band program by attending, buying a table, or Donating to the Auction It is lots of Fun!

Competitions This is what your Student will NEED: Long Black socks- More than 1 pair! White gloves- White House of Music Make them a bag or two to keep in their band locker! Under Armor, Shorts (gym shorts, NO CARGO SHORTS) T-shirt (MUST HAVE SLEEVES-NO TANK TOPS) Eat before or After! No eating in Uniform!

Competition Tips (take notes!) Bands are grouped into divisions we are a “AAAA” school- determined by school size NOT band size Parents sit together on the Far 40 yard line (come EARLY OR STAND) Sit halfway up or more to get best pictures and to see the formations of the drill. Cheer, clap, and Yell!!! It helps their Score Always be prepared for the WEATHER!!!!! Bring a blanket! (events are held rain/ snow or shine, maybe moved inside for severe weather) You Must buy a ticket for all Competitions (these are fundraisers for the Host band) Wear your Buttons and Spirit Wear! Don’t forget seat cushions! Or stadium chairs.

State Competition (take notes!) Marching season runs from mid-September till State on Oct. 15 th - Always be prepared for the WEATHER!!!!! State is at UW-Whitewater, We hope to have coach buses for the band. NO FAN BUS THIS YEAR Tips- Food is awful(bring a bag dinner, get your student a sweatshirt early they run out every year Very Cold!!!!! Has snowed! Students usually change on the Bus-be sure they bring WEATHER APPRORIATE CLOTHES! Students usually also bring snacks-be mindful of Allergies

Why? We have a Budget of over $41,000 Where does it go? Please attend the WBB General meetings, only 4 times a year We support the Wall of Sound- $16,500 (school only covers a small portion, we cover the rest) We buy instruments and technology for the band department. We give out – College Scholarships to Seniors and Camp scholarships to Band students

Summer Camp Next year- Plan ahead Wall camp is usually the Last week of July-first week of August- please plan accordingly MFA or Ball State is the most popular camp, it is in Muncie, IN- we car pool Next year Dates-Leadership Weekend - June 24 th - 25th Camp - June 26th - July 1st Get in on the early bird special in January Volunteer with WBB to qualify for camp scholarships

Please Join Us We really do have a good time, Band has become a 2 nd family Your kids will be more involved if you show an interest! Band students do really well in School- They work, enroll in AP classes, sports, and do Band You do not need to Chair an event, just help out in your area of expertise!
