Welcome to India

THE NATIONAL FLAG of India is made up of Khadi (type of cloth), with three bands of colour. Top Band is of Saffron colour, indicating the strength of the country. The white middle band, indicates peace with Dharma Chakra. The last band is green in colour shows the fertility of the land.

Mango, cultivated in India since times immemorial, is regarded as the National Fruit of the country. Described as the "Food of the Gods“ and“The king of the fruits”, mango fruit is one of the most popular, nutritionally rich fruit with unique flavor, fragrance, taste, and heath promoting qualities making it a common ingredient in new functional foods often called “super fruits”. Mangoes are an incredibly healthy snack. You can eat the entire fruit for just over a hundred calories. High in fiber, virtually fat- free, and mangoes contain numerous vitamins. It is easy to see why tropical mangoes are considered a super fruit. Mangoes also contain beta-carotene which may help slow the aging process, reduce the risk of certain forms of cancer, improve lung function, and reduce complications associated with diabetes.

Lotus is the national flower of India. The Lotus plant is basically an aquatic plant with wide floating leaves and bright aromatic flowers which grow only in shallow waters. The Lotus plant has floating leaves and flowers. It is considered to be a sacred flower and occupies unique position in the art and mythology of ancient India. This flower has been an auspicious symbol of Indian culture since time immemorial.

The Peacock is the national bird of India. Emblematic of qualities such as beauty, grace, pride and mysticism, it is a multihued, swan-sized bird, with a fan-shaped crest of feathers, a white patch under the eye and a long, slender neck.

Known as Lord of Jungles due to its grace, agility, power and endurance, Tiger is also the national animal of India.

The national tree of India, banyan is a very huge structure, long and deep roots and branches symbolize the country's unity. One can find banyan trees in throughout the nation. The national tree of India, banyan

By 1634, English writers began to tell of the banyan tree, a tree under which Hindu merchants would conduct their business.

The tree provided a shaded place for a village meeting or for merchants to sell their goods. Eventually "banyan" became the name of the tree itself.

The tree is also considered sacred by the Hindus of India.
