Allows employee to self report time Gives manager authority to approve time Easy online time tracking Provides real-time leave accrual balance for employees and supervisors Allows future time reporting for employees Establishes official records for time & attendance Creates important and accurate audit trail for employees Provides 24/7 information for employees
The purpose of this policy Confirm procedures for the collection, entry, approval and retention of time and attendance records for employees, and Implement campus-wide Time and Attendance Self Service for all staff and supervisors by December 31, Applicable to: All University staff.
What does time reporting include ? Exception time and positive time reporting Prior period adjustment Overtime
Manual Time Reporting Employee documents their time in accordance with department procedures. The supervisor approves time worked and used by an employee in accordance with department procedures. Timekeeper inputs hours approved by the supervisor by noon every Friday. Supervisor approves and signs the UMTL706 Report on Wednesday of the pay week. The signed report is submitted to HR as soon as possible but no later than noon on Friday of the pay week.
Self Service Time Reporting Employee enters time into HR Direct each week by noon on Friday for the current pay period: Exception employee enters time used only. No time needs to be reported unless hours are used and/or earned (i.e., sick, vacation, and personal). Hourly employee enters time worked and used. Supervisors approve time worked and used in HR Direct every Friday after 1pm and no later than 5pm. UMTL706 will be eliminated
