Instagram is all about the visuals Photos and short videos To market effectively you must use photos and videos to tell YOUR story Your story is your brand (your promise delivered) Your brand is not just your service as a Loan Officer Your brand is who you are in everything you do Use Instagram to tell THAT story

Strategy #1 – Use Facebooks Algorithm to your Advantage Facebook owns Instagram Just as Google loves to show it’s owned content in search results, Facebook gives news feed placement to it’s owned content Unlike other 3 rd party posters to Facebook, Instagram shares get extra Facebook juice By linking your Facebook account and selecting public on the post type, your posts will get a longer life in news feed hence creating more engagement

Strategy #2 – Behind the Scenes People love the behind the scenes look It creates a feeling of deeper knowledge or being an “insider” Take a photo of the processor working hard on a file Share a picture of your meeting with Sally Agent Make a short video of the local RE association meeting you are sponsoring Take a picture before you begin your presentation on using Periscope for Real Estate

With each one of those photos and videos, when you share it, you are really sharing it to Facebook, and including some FB-SEO Allow people an insiders view of your business Tell your business story with photos

Strategy #3 - Map all your posts This feature comes up in the steps to posting a photo or video As you post things consistently and share them to Facebook a a detailed map of begins to emerge People “checking you out” on Instagram will see your mapped area and more easily recognize you as an expert on the area Not to mention the map is Googles map, so now you have photos on Googles map in your Instagram account, these then become SEO juice for you socially

Strategy #4 – Use Hash Tags in your Posts (#) #’s are searchable in all platforms People are searching hash tags in their favorite social sites to find the things they are interested in #’s are also a way for the search engines to know what your content is relevant to But be careful of over hashing To many can cause a person to see your content as not really relevant to what they want
