 There are two groups of subjects  Do you know the synonyms for these words?  Try to name some examples of the subjects from each category. COMPULSORY OPTIONAL

 Every school in the UK must have a code of conduct. This is a written document with guidelines for good behaviour and school rules to make sure pupils behave well.  For example: ◦ 1. Get to school on time ◦ 2. Pupils are not allowed to leave the school during lessons without a written letter from a parent.

 We had to wear uniform until last year. It was horrible. You should be able to wear things you feel comfortable in. And all this talk about covering up the financial differences is rubbish. If you have a lot of money, it shows whatever you`re wearing.  I really don`t know … When I was my daughter`s age, I never complained about my uniform, I just took it for granted I had to wear one. Now it`s completely different. Sandra spends hours on end choosing her clothes before she leaves in the morning. I sometimes think it would be easier and definitely much cheaper if she just had one skirt and cardigan for school use. Here are two different attitudes toward wearing uniforms at school. Which of them is closer to your opinions. Can you think of more arguments for your attitude?
