TfH – ‘A new partnership with the public’ a tool - this fosters better use of resources and better outcomes a tool - this fosters better use of resources and better outcomes an obligation - we deny the public choice, though they pay an obligation - we deny the public choice, though they pay for the government and NHS, it means a shift to real, grown up engagement for the government and NHS, it means a shift to real, grown up engagement

TfH – ‘Absolute transparency on performance’ it fosters excellence and accountability it fosters excellence and accountability it must address service availability, service quality and an individual’s own care circumstances, overall health, clinical outcomes, and patient safety and satisfaction it must address service availability, service quality and an individual’s own care circumstances, overall health, clinical outcomes, and patient safety and satisfaction

‘The People’s NHS - Towards making a Compact with the Public’ How together we can better help you stay healthy How you can be more involved in your treatment – with better results How together we can design your services better How together we can ensure services are better run How together we can make the NHS better This document is an invitation to you to join in discussion about what that ‘compact’ should say……… Together we can create something our neighbours and the world will envy.

‘Your health – your information’ ‘Your health – your information’ ‘How can I get and stay healthy?’ ‘What services can I expect and how can I access them? ‘How can I be more involved in my health and treatment?’ ‘What are the plans of the Government and the NHS?’ ‘How good are the services I use? What do they feel like to people using them?’ ‘How can I help ensuring services are better designed and better run?’ ‘How can I be sure that the NHS will handle my personal information confidentially and securely?’ I want people easily to be able to find and use information to change their own lives and prospects and to work better with their NHS nationally and locally……………
