Preparation for IB Diploma Program IB Diploma Program begins during the Junior year Counselors are working with students who anticipate transitioning into the IB Diploma Program to insure that they take those classes that will prepare them for successful transition. Students need to take those classes that will help meet the A-G requirements during their Freshmen and Sophomore years to open room in the students’ schedules for Diploma Program courses.

Preparation for IB Diploma Program Our partner districts are providing a wide range of honors programs and accelerated math classes that help students prepare for the transition to IB Diploma Program courses. The transition to the Common Core will also be very helpful as many aspects of the Common Core, such as higher order thinking skills, problem solving, and expository prose are also imbedded in the expectations for success in the IB Diploma Program

Preparation for the IB Diploma Program As we seek to expand our program we believe that we will need to begin to outreach to the other High Schools in our district to provide a true magnet program that will allow students from throughout the communities of Oxnard, Hueneme, and Camarillo to participate in the IB Diploma Program
