Objectives Establish information society indicators. Capacity building to facilitate measuring ICT indicators Comparing Rural-Urban areas in Egypt Comparing with other countries for benchmarking. Availing the updated Egypt’s ICT indicators to national and international users.

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency Governmental entity that has been established through Law 15 of the year This agency aims at paving the way for the diffusion of the e-business services in Egypt capitalizing on different mandates of the authority as activating the Egyptian e- signature law and supporting an export-oriented IT sector in Egypt Ministry of Communication & Information Technology Plays a role in national policy making where it is the key driver for the deregulation of the telecommunication industry and for the implementation of Egypt's Information Society. The National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority National authority to administer the telecommunication sector, considering transparency, open competition, universal services and protection of user rights as a general outline for NTRA scope of work. Lessons Learned Ensuring the mapping of fields in forms with International Indicators Increasing cross checking samples based on different data collection mechanism (Call Centers output vs. Field surveying) Developing data verification techniques to eliminate inconsistencies to ensure data integrity Identifying the need of a centralized platform (Portal) to share, update & publish ICT Indicators among data owners and then to beneficiaries locally & internationally.
