Presentation transcript:

Geoffrey Chaucer The Canterbury Tales Click on this link for many reliable areas of interest regarding The Canterbury Tales: Or this, the official Canterbury Tales site:*Or this, the official Canterbury Cathedral website: Click here for an interesting link to a site which contains an audio files link. Imagine adding an element of audio in original Middle English to your presentation! (Main page-select Audio Files Link under Librarius Links category) Interesting site! Images of Canterbury needed? I selected the link directly to the images section. Be persistent; some of the links—i.e. the first two—are no longer active. The Canterbury Tour, however, works. Try others! Click here to go to Luminarium.com, a rich resource for literary information. Once onto the Chaucer page, select “Chaucer’s Works.” There, you’ll find interesting, helpful articles on many of Chaucer’s Tales. This is a great resource! **Other links needed? Search in Google under “Canterbury Tales” or “Geoffrey Chaucer” and investigate! One can usually determine the quality of the site on first glance. There are over 1 million possibilities for all of the above; learn to select quality sites and save yourself hours of searching.

Progress Check: Do you have the following information? Do you have significant, detailed information on each of the two major subjects bulleted at the top of your list? Does EVERY member of your group speak during this portion of the presentation? Do you have MLA citations for these slides?

Are there images for the purpose of illustration on these slides? Do you reference these images so that they are an inherent component in your presentation? Are these images cited?

Have you checked for accuracy (dates, typing, spelling of names, etc.)? Has everyone found enough material to give the class insight into each of the five characters / character types in your group list?
