2014 ANGEL COMMITTEE Mission Committee Activities & FUNdraisers Santa’s Helpers Secret Santas Angel Tree

MISSION Raise funds for the community’s families in need to purchase – Christmas Gifts – Christmas Dinner (i.e. groceries – turkey, cranberries, pumpkin pie filling, etc.) Bring Joy & Laughter to the children & adult(s) with gifts they or their relatives would not “normally” get for themselves or their family members. Boost morale in the department

MISSION Give back to the Community Show our support for the Community Spread Christmas Cheer

COMMITTEE ACTIVITES Pass the Pumpkin Guess the Christmas Angel Pumkin Pie Eating Contest Dunk the Director Pin the Feathers on the Turkey

COMMITTEE FUNDRAISERS Monthly Bake Sales – ALL Homebaked Items are Donated – ALL Items are Sold per Donation The amount is left up to the customer in lieu of a set price – Department staff along with Committee Members donate their time in selling the goodies – Staff get to have FUN by having at least 30 minutes of their day spent conversing with other department staff and one another raising support for this wonderful mission

COMMITTEE FUNDRAISING A brief look at the previous year’s Committee’s efforts & success!

SECRET HELPERS Committee Members – Meet monthly to plan FUNraising activities to continue the Christmas Spirit during the off season months along with financial support – Plan All Types of Bake Sales Traditional Baked Goodies (i.e. cupcakes, cakes, cookies, etc.) Popcorn Sale with all the fixin’s Christmas Mug Sale – ALL Volunteer based and permitted during normal business hours – Support from our Supervisors, Managers, and Director

SECRET SANTAS As the time progresses and the Committee furthers its efforts word spreads Santa’s helpers appear from other departments within the Community as time gets close to Santa’s arrival – Husband (IT) and Wife (Finance) Team – Admin Staff – Recreation Staff Becomes a true Community effort for the Community

THE ANGEL TREE Don’t forget to pick up an Angel from the Angel Tree in your local store and support a child or adult this Christmas and join us in bringing Christmas cheer to everyone this season.
