ATLANTIS IN SOUTH AMERICA A theory of J.M. Allen BACKGROUND The continental island described by Plato in the Critias was nothing but South America. Why ? 1)South America has been the only huge island placed where Plato said ( straight beyond the Pillars of Heracles) for thousands and thousands years up to now. This is scientifically demonstrated. 2)On its west side a rectangular plateau lies and it’s related to the main island like Plato’s one. It shows the same features. 3)Since continents can’t sunk beneath the sea the island of Atlantis, if really existed, survived certainly to the catastrophe up to now. Science show even this fact.

ATLANTIS IN SOUTH AMERICA A theory of J.M. Allen RESEARCH Explorations in the Bolivian plateau have been performed by Jim Allen himself with few other contributors. Of course a fine technological equipment and more funds are needed. Anyway the activity of research goes on and gives encouraging results: From satellite photos some channels are visible in the plateau. A grid of them has been located near Lake Poopò where the capital city of Atlantis is supposed to be. A huge piece of channel, measuring about the dimensions given by Plato, is clearly visible in the ground of the Plateau. There nature offers in abundance an alloy of gold and copper, which can be well identified with the mysterious orichalcum Recent explorations revealed sandy channels and ruined walls in the virtual place of the capital city. Clues of violent earthquackes have been confirmed.

Allen MEDIA INTEREST Though Jim Allen is trying to present one of the most serious and complete studies on Atlantis his work is not well known by people yet and hasn’t a wide global consideration. Accademic environment, who knows why, use to misunderstand his work, maybe going even against they ideas. People don’t consider this theory among the most reliable (just the 4% of them believe is the right one). They consider the Mid-Atlantic one as the best. Could this theory be an evolution of the Mid-Atlantic one ? We believe so.
