WHAT IS A LEP? ▪ Local Enterprise Partnerships are partnerships between local authorities and businesses ▪ Set up in 2011 by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to help determine local economic priorities and lead economic growth and job creationDepartment for Business, Innovation and Skills ▪ They decide what the priorities should be for investment in roads, buildings and facilities in the area ▪ 39 LEPs covering England
