Past Participles
Past participles are verb forms that can be used as adjectives. Most past participles are formed by adding –d or–ed to the verb. Example: My mom will fix the ripped jeans.
Past Participles Some irregular verbs have special past participle forms Example: The broken shovel had to be thrown away.
Past Participles Identify the present participle in each of the following sentences: I put tape on the torn paper.
Past Participles She plans to hide the cracked vase from her mom.
Past Participles We were ice skating on the frozen pond.
