It was set up in the hope of giving the people of Mansfield a voice. It also has a say on the policies that affect the people of Mansfield. All the students agreed that it was a very interesting evening, experiencing all groups of people meeting together to discuss priority concerns in the Mansfield, Ashfield and Teversal areas.

Maun Valley Citizen Update The Plan: In September we conducted a “Listening Campaign” to see what you, the students of All Saints’ wanted to change in our local area. We fed back to Maun Valley Citizens the following points: Lighting in darker areas outside school, especially in the winter. CCTV in those same areas. Bring back the Lollipop men/women to improve safety around our schools. Build relationships with the Queen Elizabeth School to improve anti-social behaviour at the Chesterfield Road bus stop. Could this be with wardens and PCSO’s. Improve advertisement and opportunities of apprenticeships for young people. As the Student Council and a school, we have joined a team which will promote “Jobs and Apprenticeships for Young People”. Being part of the Maun Valley Citizens some of the above will be implemented – We will keep you updated.
