Section C 4 Mark questions Key People who improved Surgery and/or Anatomy Key Features of Surgery and/or Anatomy in different time periods (Ancient World will probably be both surgery and anatomy) Key Factors that affected the development of Surgery and anatomy It is fairly straightforward to guess these questions and practise them in advance They matter because 4 marks = 8% and 8% = a WHOLE grade

4 Mark Public Health Mark Scheme Level 1 1-2marks:Simple answer that shows basic knowledge about the topic Level marksDeveloped answer that explains key points about the topic

What to include for 4 mark key people questions Who was the person? What was surgery / anatomy like? (problems) What did the person do? Why did what they did matter?

What to include for 4 mark time period questions Either, - What were the key features of Surgery and/or at the time? OR - How much progress was made in that time period, (start of time period, what happened in time period, what was it like at the end)

What was the role of different factors in Public Health? How did the factor help improve surgical techniques / understanding of anatomy? -Try to give examples of the factor’s role from 3 different time periods -THEORIES OF DISEASE COUNT AS A FACTOR FOR THIS SECTION
