Software as a service is an alternative to the standard software installation in the business environment (traditional model) where a user has to build the server, install the application and configure it. In SaaS, the user does not pay for the software itself. The “Cloud Model” works like a rental. Users have the authorization to use it for a period of time and pay for the software that they are using. Most enterprises are evaluating whether or not hosting applications on the cloud is the right path. What is The Right Choice? It depends on the state of technology of the company and the complexity of operations. For example, a brand new company may consider a "Cloud First" model where all infrastructure and applications would be targeted on the cloud. This greatly simplifies the IT model for the company and allows a new company to leverage a pay-for-consumption based model. The information is captured at the time of On Boarding and it personalizes the home page of the employee i.e. it is displayed on the employee homepage. The system can capture detailed information about organisational hierarchy, skill sets, certifications and other key inputs. A mobile workforce is can feel at home with this simple interface.  Single page interface for all routine tasks for every level of employees.  Messages, Notifications & To Do tasks can also be maintained.  Daily employee check in, check out is done at the same page.  Apply for Leave, Training, View Pay slips & Performance Appraisals can be done at single clicks.  Assets issued to the employee are visible here.

The recruitment lifecycle is managed in this module through a dashboard. Dates are captured to track the time taken to fill a particular vacancy.  Track whether a candidate has applied earlier, schedule interviews, attach CV responses received and conduct tests, interviews.  Handle advertisement, acknowledgement to applications, registration of candidate.  Different departments can upload recruitment requisitions  Track open and closed positions or whether a candidate is approved and who approved him.  Create interviews & results for large recruitments on the fly.  Generate offer letters & convert selected candidate data into employees with ease.  Induction & orientation get conducted smoothly.

Payroll and taxation are the most sensitive issues handled by the HR department. Complexities get added due to different ways of doing it across countries.  Benefits and allowances used across geographies and internal teams can be tailored due to flexible design.  HRExcell allows you to separate allowance master, benefits definition, salary grades, superannuation calculations within the system.  The Payroll handles loans, bonus, salary and tax calculations for even the most complex systems adopted.  Software is geared to comply with regulatory requirements for statutory taxation legislations for various countries.  Overtime, time-of and allowances in lieu of overtime are no longer a headache.  Deduction for loans and advances, superannuation, tax, increase at the time of performance appraisal are built in the system.

This module manages the employee Exit process. All the exit modes i.e resignation, retrenchment, retirement and untimely death are integrated. The exit is simplified by automated clearance process.  Make the exit more hassle free and account for assets that need to be returned.  Final account settlement.  Final documentation for relieving.  Exit interview.  Create a handover to identified personnel.

Recommend employees for trainings and track training expenses. Use these inputs at the time of appraisal to create a succession plan for key employees or just understand organization gaps for future planning so that skills are not found lacking at the time of growth  Identify the needs early and get feedbacks for trainers as well as trainees  Create your own training calendar and schedule in the system so that training is a planned activity and does not affect core operations.  Create multiple training types-both internal & external.  Provision for study leave & pay for employees on study leave.  Training expenses are integrated with Payroll.  Provision to account for financial assistance from internal & external sponsors.

Connect better with employees through goal setting and appraisal techniques. Create either a customized Performance Appraisal or follow industry standards such as 180 or 360 degree system based on competencies & KRAs definitions for each employee. This helps to track the performers from the dead weight in the organization.  Evaluate employees comprehensively and help them realize full potential.  Add transparency to your appraisal process and build trust.  Give constructive feedback based on goals decided at beginning of the year.  Recommend trainings based on performance to monitor employee progress.  Link variable pay to performance and payroll.

Allows easy handling of employees on training, shifts, client visit with accurate inputs for payroll.  Employees don’t spend unproductive time on payroll queries.  Manage Shifts easily for each employee.  You can create your own holiday types, your own work hours and calculate payroll based on defined late coming, early going policies.  Can interface with any card reader or biometric system  Handle Punch-In/Punch-Out at office or remotely.  Calculate actual presence & working hours of Employees.

A leave module that allows you to create your own leave types and automate the leave approval process. An employee can track whether his leave is sanctioned or not and can even see his unutilized leaves at the time of application itself.  Administrator can create detailed categories of leaves.  Leaves approvals happen at a click.  The system tracks paid as well as unpaid leaves therefore integration with payroll data has virtually no manual intervention.

Track availability of assets at all times. Anyone who needs an asset can track the person currently possessing it. Not only you can track the asset but It can also be used as a tool to track dates when preventive maintenance needs to be done for certain assets. The employee exit process is so much smoother when employees need to return assets.  Asset issue, return, maintenance are all possible.  Duplication of assets is avoided with benefit to the bottom line.  Create tags related to purchase price, vendor from whom it was purchased to save time in the event of a support incident.  Disposal of dead assets is also accounted.  During off boarding, a request to return all assets makes relieving process simpler.

Handle staff conduct and discipline with factual data so that employee appraisal is done accurately. In the eventuality that some employee is involved with regular breech of conduct, then these incidents need to be recorded confidentially for eventual action based on these.  Lodge all offenses and incidents accurately for fair assessment of all employees.  Improve organizational conduct with accurate monitoring.  Regular breaches of conduct catch the eye easily.  Decision making and investigation of offenses reported are recorded in employee history.

Employees can raise/expenses that need to be incorporated in their monthly payroll. The module allows for documentation to be uploaded for necessary approval. Once approved it flows to accounts for final screening and payment/rejection as the case may be.  Administrator can define expense types which flow into payroll ultimately.  Automate travel, business and other expense claim to ensure faster processing.  Streamline approvals, gain visibility and take control on claim.  Send expense reports while travelling.  Dashboard for view as well as attaching supporting documents.  Analyze expense for management decisions.

HRExcell provides you facility to design and develop your own document templates. These templates can be used to create standard documentation such as appointment letters, experience letters, bank reference or other commonly used documents which employees use routinely.  Set standardized documents for all communications so that routine communications is easy.
