There should 5 dividers as follows: (dividers can be store bought or you may use card stock paper to make your dividers. 1. Notes 2. Class-work / Worksheets 3. Homework / Current Event/Journals 4. Group Work / Projects / Lab Assignments 5. Quiz / Test

CLASS-WORK NOTES  Everything that we do in class – ie. Warm -ups  Most of your worksheets –Direct Reading A/B  If we start a worksheet in class, and you finish it for homework it is still CLASS-WORK.  All the notes on PowerPoint  All vocabulary worksheets  Or key-terms you copy from the chapter  Chapter Outline

HOMEWORK  Current Events (CE) – is a weekly homework assignment that is due every Friday. CE are scientific article that you research bring in to share with the class, your article must be related to the current topic that is being discussed in class that week  All homework may be out of textbook, reading assignments or worksheet  Journals - are questions given about current topics we are discussing  All signed progress report

QUIZ OR TEST  Quiz  Test Quiz and Test are sometimes given unannounced You may be allowed to use your notes on SOME test GROUP WORK / PROJECT LAB REPORT / INTERNET ACTIVITIES  Some Labs will be done in Lab notebook others on worksheets  Projects can be individual or group  Internet Activities – requires you to use the internet to find answers  Science Fair rough draft

Please remember to put:  Your Name  Today’s Date  Period On EVERY ASSIGNMENT before you turn it in. Any assignment turn in without your name, date, period will not be given any CREDIT!!!

 If you are late for class make sure you have a note – 2 or more Lates to class without an excusednote will result in detentions  Sharpen pencils when you FIRST walk in class or during individual work, NOT DURING NOTES or WHEN I’M GIVING DIRECTIONS TO THE CLASS.  You may use the bathroom during individual work time only – NOT WHEN YOU FIRST WALK IN, NOT DURING JOURNALS, NOT DURING NOTES, NOT WHEN I’M GIVING DIRECTIONS

 Are only permitted with Teacher’s approval  Please put your phones away before you enter the room  Two warnings will be given – afterward your phone will be taken and return only at the end of the school day

 When you are absent from class – be sure to get any notes given from a partner.  Worksheets will be located on the assignment folders on the wall closest to the door.  If you are going on vacation – you may be able to get work that will be covered in class if you notify me in advance.
