The Outsiders is an award winning novel written by S.E. Hinton. In this story you will read about two gangs, the Greasers and the Socs. These gangs were protective of their turf, loyal to their members, and intense in their interactions. This web activity will introduce you to the book, sparking your curiosity so that you will want to learn more by starting the novel as soon as you can!

Time Period for the Outsiders Have you ever seen the TV show Happy Days? Maybe Fonzie and the cast look familiar. The show Happy Days is a good example of what a people looked like and dressed like during the time the Outsiders novel is set. Fonzi Fonzi
