  It covers the North West corner of New Jersey  It is where the whole of New Jersey gets its dairy products  This region is the owner of part of the Appalachian Mountains  It is also a place of relaxation and recreation Ridge and Valley

  This region surrounds the Ridge and Valley region  The region is well known for its variety of rocks. There are types there that are found nowhere else on earth. Some even glow!  A lot of New Jersey’s lakes can be found in this region. Most were formed by melting glaciers that cut through the ground. Highlands

  This region has the greatest population out of all four regions.  The word Piedmont means foothills or low hills at the bottom of mountains.  The Piedmont land strip is only 20 miles wide.  540 foot tall cliffs form Piedmont’s eastern boarder. These cliffs are called the Palisades. Piedmont

  This enormous region covers more than on half of our home state: New Jersey.  This region is less than 400 feet above sea level. The land slopes in the eastern half of the region creating all of our beautiful beaches.  A wide variety of plant and animal life.
