Wind By : Julia Giordano

What is wind energy ? Wind energy is renewable. Wind energy generates electricity by using wind turbines.

History of wind energy ! Wind energy propelled boats along the Nile River as early as 5000 B.C.. Then there were windmills in China in 200 B.C.. By the 11 th century people used windmills for food production. In the 1920’s they were used to generate electricity !

Found and Recovered Wind wasn’t found in a particular place, except for the air. When air is blowing that is called wind ! Wind can’t be recovered but can be used by windmills or wind turbines.

Storing Wind Wind can be stored by using a taking the energy and putting it in a battery, compressed air, and hydrogen and released by those items.

Advantages and Disadvantages 1.Advantages Friendly to environment. Friendly to environment. Turbines are less space. Turbines are less space. 2.Disadvantages Noisy. Noisy. Not enough wind. Not enough wind.
