Linda’s New Assistant And you thought she did all the work by herself?

And now we will announce 2 potential 10,000 card winners!

What does a good day in the field look like? First stop: Senior Center. We presented to the “head honcho”, she was very happy to get our cards and sent us …

to the Health Dept. where we spoke at length with 2 ladies who also were very pleased to get cards and told us exactly why they needed them for the people they serve. Our contact at the Health Dept. sent us to… Sister Gloria who manages an outreach center, mostly for Spanish-speaking immigrants. Sr. Gloria spoke with us at length about all the services they offer and how these cards would help her people. Sr. Gloria sent us to…

A nearby church to speak with Fr. Peter who runs the school, pre-school and daycare, as well as a large church. We were able to leave hundreds of cards with him.

While walking back to the car, Sr. Gloria called us and invited us back, since the Director had arrived and wanted to meet with us. The Director is on the board of at least one huge chain of medical clinics, she teaches at a large school, and she is clearly “connected”. The Director sent us to… A large shelter that serves hundreds of families, we made one more stop and left cards at the shelter.

We ate lunch at a place that serves the Hispanic population and left cards there as well. How did we spend the day without having to cold call other than one time, at the first call? We ASKED for referrals. We just said “Who else do you know that would make good use of these cards to help the people they serve?” And we got sent all over town, with the ability to name-drop, and were not turned away once.

And now we will announce 2 potential 10,000 card winners!

If any of these numbers is yours, please call Diane Burgos at x 119 or via at to claim your cards

August Challenge “Just do your best and have no regrets that you should have done better.” "Success is peace of mind which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.” John R. Wooden

Thank you for joining us and I hope to “see” you again on the next call on August 27th. Linda
