SAN DIEGO STATE UNIVERSITY. SDSU is located in San Diego, California. The tuition is $18,994.Per year. You need a GPA of 2.5 to enter SDSU. San Diego State University awards bachelor’s,master’s,and doctoral degrees.It also has a total of 151 fields. There is a total of 34,500 students that attend SDSU. SDSU is the largest university in San Diego and the fifth largest in California

SDSU SPORTS. SDSU offers many sports for women and men. Men: Baseball,Basketball, Football,Soccer,Golf, and Tennis. Women:Basketball, Cross Country,Golf,Soccer,Softb all,Swimming&Diving,Te nnis,Track,Volleyball,and Water polo. Home of the Aztecs Aztec Warrior.

EHNICITY AT SDSU. The ethnicity at San Diego State University is very diverse.

NURSING PROGRAM. To get into the nursing program at SDSU you must first get accepted into SDSU. You also have to wait 2 years before you apply to be a nursing major. Till then you must take other classes at SDSU. Such as English,Anatomy,Math and others.

JOB DESCRIPTION. Registered nurses mostly work with patients and their families. They often do evaluations and check on patients from time to time. RN’s also perform procedures such drawing blood and giving an IV. They also have more contact with patients then Doctors do.

SALARY. Since the demand for nurses is growing so is the salary. More then 25% of RN’s earned $64,000 a year. And in 2008 more then 40% earned $75,000 a year. Starting nurses make $35 in hour. Most RN’s are in New York,LA,and in Chicago.

DEGREES. The most popular nursing degree is the Associate degree. This degree takes an average of 2 to3 years. Another type of degree is the Bachelors, which takes about 4 years to complete. And the last degree that you can earn is the Nursing Diploma and that takes an average of 3 to 5 years. The benefit of becoming a nurse is that the career is never threatened.Which mean that more and more people will be needing nurses.
