Learning Management System (LMS) Learning Management System is a software package used to administer a course or learners and it is organizational focused.

Ways of using LMS for ensuring better and effective learning measurement 1.Set an effective measure of learning as one of the goals of implementing LMS 2.to ensure that inputs received are aligned with the objective. 3.Always view LMS as a strategy instead of a tool. 4.Always explain the learning evaluation process clearly to students or vendor 5. Make sure to schedule process for conducting evaluation surveys regularly for each learning session. 6.Use assessment module for LMS to create relevant and timely assessment of a student

Course Management System Course Management Systems (CMS) are online systems that were originally designed to support classroom learning in academic settings, such as universities and high schools.

The advantages of using CMS  Provides an area for faculty posting of class materials  Provide an area for student posting of papers and other assignments.  Can be a grade book where faculty can record grades and each student can view his or her grades.

 A threaded discussion board allowing asynchronous communication among participants.  Files can be simply put on an internet file server  A chat tool allowing synchronous communication among class participants  An integrated tool allowing participants to send announcement messages to the entire class or to a subset of the entire class.
