EASY AND NICE TO GO BY TRAIN Updated internal policy for business trips: Travel in first class. First class includes a meal, fruit, coffee and newspaper Work on the train, and get paid as working time instead of travel time. The travel agent has to suggest the train Measures 6

LOWER COSTS TO GO BY TRAIN The train trip costs 65 EUR, the flight 180 EUR, including transfer An internal climate compensation model gives an additional cost for business trips by plane: +25 EUR/ domestic flight Measures 7

TEST-CAMPAIGN: TRY THE TRAIN 15 voluntary persons from different apartments Go by the train/night train Skåne-Stockholm all business trips during two months (Sep-Nov 2015) Information on the intranet It’s very comfortable to take the train! I have been more positive to the train during this period! I couldn´t sleep on the night train! I was surprised how great it was to go by the night train! Measures 9

A PART OF A COMMON ACTION TO SAVE THE NIGHT TRAIN 11 Decrease in passengers led to a decision to discontinue the night train from southern Sweden (Lund/Malmö) to Stockholm from April 1st 2014 Common action between public and private companies to save the night train County Council of Scania the largest company Actions: - Signed letter of intent to increase the use - Promotion in the companies - Measures in the companies A significant increase in the use of night trains The night trains are there on a permanent basis
