BY: PAIGE BARTOSIK Science SLC Reflection

Introduction This year in science I learned a lot of different things. I learned about the elements of the periodic table, organisms, the shampoo PH balance unit, minerals, the rock and carbon cycles and more. My favorite part of science this year would probably be getting to work with a partner while creating a presentation or project. And also just doing projects in general, I really enjoy doing. My least favorite part of science would probably be the periodic table, because I thought it was very confusing at first, but I guess as I got to know it, it got easy to understand.

Rate yourself on effort & contributions to class discussion I would give myself a 3 because I think I have good effort in class it’s just I don’t really contribute to the class discussion so much. I guess I just like to hear what other people have to say about the topic rather than me giving my opinion.

Rate yourself on your ability to work with others in class A 5, because I think I work very well with a partner. The only person I kind of have a hard time working with is my friend, Micaela, because we fool around too much whenever were together for something and I think we would be better off working with someone else. Not that I don’t like working with her, I just think it’d be for the better.

Describe items you want to improve upon for next quarter/year. I would like to improve on my test taking skills and asking more questions more often in class. I think I would be prepared more by studying the night or few days before a test or quiz. Also during class I should speak up more, and if something doesn’t make sense, I should definitely clarify it with him.

Describe what when well in this school year I would say the mineral presentation went very well this year in science. Andrea and I did very good on it and I really do think we learned quite a bit from it. We learned what kind of minerals are in your basic toothpaste, like Crest, Colgate, Aqua-Fresh, etc. We also watched the other projects during class and learned about those minerals too.
