Child Hunger Today By: Omer Mohammed

Introduction Some 805 million people in the world do not have enough food to lead a healthy active life. That's about one in nine people on earth. Mostly all this happens because of poverty more than half the world live on poverty At least 80% of humanity lives on less than $10 a day then if we look at children 1 billion children worldwide are living in poverty. According to UNICEF, 22,000 children die each day due to poverty and basically this results in Child Hunger. Hunger is everywhere around the world if we look really closely we could hunger in our area to.

The Problems - The vast majority of the world's hungry people live in developing countries, where 12.9 percent of the population is undernourished. -Poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five million children each year. -Nearly 50 percent of people living in extreme poverty are 18 years old or younger. -One out of six children -- roughly 100 million -- in developing countries is underweight. -Hunger kills more people each year than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined.

In our world today Asia has the most people who are hungry so basically it's the ⅔ of the total. In recent years the percentage in southern Asia has fallen. but in western Asia it has increased slightly. Poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five million children each year.People not just Asia are suffering, Africa and other countries out their are suffering as much as Asia like for instance, 66 million primary school-age children attend classes hungry across the developing world, with 23 million in Africa alone.

But in other countries like some parts of Africa and Asia, are a third world country, it's a world where people live in poverty and and they are trying to survive to sustain a normal life, which is hard there because of the amount of people suffering their. The cause of this is that sometimes capital investment is just really bad, I mean really bad. The Second reason of third world countries is because of growth population. There is so much population that it’s difficult to feed those couple billion people living there.

There is a solution Today people called the WFP is helping child hunger all over the world. They are helping children who are starving of hunger. They donated a lot of money to help feed children in poor school area’s and poor area’s like some Africa, India, and China. Today infact people are trying to put a stop to poverty and child hunger by donating money.
