N ERO ’ S F AMILY T REE Nero’s birth father is Gnaeus Domitius Ahenobarbus. Nero’s Birth mother is, Agrippina. Nero’s adopted father is, Claudius. Then there is Nero. Nero married Octavia, but then divorced her. Nero then married, his mistress, Poppaea. Nero married Octavia, but then divorced her. Nero then married, his mistress, Poppaea.

I NTERESTING F ACTS Nero’s birth name was; Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus and was known by that name as a child. He was the only surviving direct male descendant of the emperor Augusts. He was blamed for burning down the Roman Empire, this was highly unlikely though. When Nero was 2 years old, his mother was banished by Caligubi to the Pontian Islands. His father died one year after his mother. His Grandfather was extremely popular commander with the army. (Germanicus)

E ARLY L IFE A ND C HILDHOOD OF N ERO Nero was born on December 15, 37 A.D. He was born in Antium Also known today, as Anzio Italy. He was known, as a child, as Domitus.

D EATH Nero’s death, was suicide. His death was “forced” suicide people say. On June 9 th 68. His mother poisoned his father, they think and also she killed her uncle, and husband, Claudius. Then in 59 A.D. he put his mother to death. He divorced his wife Octavia, then later on in life, she was later executed. His Step-father died one year after his mother was put to death. Nero poisoned Britannicus.

C HARACTER T RAITS Nero was a very cruel man. As you can tell with the slide Death. He killed many people that you would think, he “loved.” Like his mother, his ex- wife, and probably more people. He did come from a family, of murderers.Death

D ID N ERO U SE O R A BUSE P OWER ? Nero defiantly abused power. He murdered people, and spent money, when ever he felt like it. He was not a very good emperor, at all, the only reason, why he is emperor, is because his mother poisoned her uncle, husband, and emperor. (there all the same person.)

C ONTRIBUTIONS TO R OME OR H ISTORY OF THE W ORLD Some contributions to Rome that Nero had caused, was that after Rome burned down (they are not positive if it was him that burned it down, or if it was Christians wanting Christ to rise once again sooner) he helped rebuild Rome.

A CCOMPLISHMENTS AND A CHIEVEMENTS Some of Nero’s accomplishments, were he started the trend of persecuting Christians. And when he herd that Rome was on fire (he wasn’t even in Rome when it had happened some say) He came as soon as possible to come help put it out. The Christians rebounded by coming up with the story of Nero fiddling while Rome burned He was also an accomplished musian

I NTERESTING F ACTS Nero’s grandfather was an extremely famous commander with the army (Germanicus)
