Rainforest Animals

Your new adventure starts today!

Due Date:Friday February 7 th, 2014

Who?You What?Create an animal that lives in the rainforest. Where? At home When? Friday February 7 th, 2014 How? The animal has to be 12 inches in height and 8 inches in length minimum. It also has to be accurate to the animal in color and shape. It also needs something added that is more than paper. The animal has to be drawn not a copied picture.

What does that mean?

Well Take Dash Here, If he was the animal you created, he would have to be…… 12 inches in height 8 inches in length OR….

12 inches in length 8 inches in height

What if I want to make my animal BIGGER?

YES!!! But it has to look realistic….so an ant can not be 4 feet long. It is ok to have the ant 12 by 8 or 8 by 12 but NO bigger….

What does something more than paper mean?

Like this lion has google eyes, that is something more than paper in the most BASIC form.

Or this bird that has google eyes and also felt to make the feathers look real.

This is what we mean by realistic looking. This butterfly looks like a butterfly.

Mrs. Fitton says there is one more thing you have to do…… You need to use index cards (I have PLENTY)… and write 10 facts about your animals. If you run out of room….do not use the back…get another index card.

Now let’s look at some rainforest animals and get to picking yours…..
