About the contents: The group is a “creative” one Our web site on Connect offers a documentation of the activities carried out every Monday. Work in a very visual way (language skills are very low in German and in English as well) and support the work with a very plane description of “how to do it”, Pictures of everything we do. Pictures showed in presentations (photopeach) with a musical background. Connect LLP IT-KA3-KA3MP
The page of the German community wants to look attractive and creative; We have designed this page as a showcase of activities carried out by the creative team. The true enrichment in terms of learning has been the transfer from the journal- paper diary to the digital representation of products and processes. Connect LLP-2009-IT-KA3-KA3MP
The list of activities carried out (kitchen, DIY, counseling, visits) has been transformed into a directory of links, presentations and useful addresses. In this sense the community has become the space for participants with a virtual representation of themselves, their attitudes and needs. On the main page we find the main contents of the community: the women represent themselves throw the activities they carry out. The Job center of the Region Offenbach asked us to link also its website to ours in order to make possible the access to the useful information for the participants Connect LLP-2009-IT-KA3- KA3MP
To let start blogs seems to be complicated. Mediation of the tutor as solution. Language barrier, cultural distance, distrust in the tools are very big obstacles. In our blog section you can find two proposals: one about the exchange of recipes and one for the technical support. Connect LLP-2009-IT-KA3-KA3MP
Under the "resources-archive" a number of useful links for people at risk of exclusion was collected. Here the participants can find information on projects and helpdesks in the city and the region of Offenbach. There are links and addresses of stakeholders, schools, migration consultancy points. It is not conceivable that our users are able to interact independently with these resources, but it is definitely useful for the completeness of the information in our community. Connect: German Community State of the art, April 2012 We started the recruitment and the training of the new target group in October For each of them (10) we have created a g-mail account and gave an overview of how systems works. The participants from our community are digital illiterate and our approach to the world of Web had a very low level.. The first exercises we proposed : searching for your city on google earth introduction to Skype. Skype is a real opportunity for them to enjoy the world of web applications related to their daily lives. Through the interest in skype we could bring them closer to the concept of networks and contacts, and then logically to the idea of social networking. With the support of the tutor, the women created their account on Connect and experimented with interest the contents that are present in our community. My approach has been to publish contents on the community that are interesting for them, because they have helped to create them.
