Media presentation Narrative and Opening title sequence

Overview of the film Ex-detective Kane becomes obsessed with unsolved cases. He creates a hit list of the criminals that escaped him and he becomes a vigilantly killer. (A bit like Batman) Thinks that he was kicked out of the force for having unsolved crimes. But was actually kicked out for being a drunk. His ex-partner is the hero, who is still in the force. He links all the killings together realising that Kane is the one doing it. Showdown at the end- lets him die instead of going to prison as he understands why he is doing it. In other words lets him choose his fate.

Plot Kane gets kicked out the police force. Starts hunting down and killing criminals that escaped him whilst in the police, making him a false hero. A pattern emerges, his ex-partner starts catching on to Kane’s plan. His ex-partner has a showdown with him, ex- partner allows Kane to die. It returns back to a balanced diegesis.

Characters Kane- an ex-detective, leather trench coat, sunglasses, hot headed, mentally unstable,was a drunk. His ex-partner- detective, smart, calm, detective clothing (hat and trench coat etc) Criminals

Opening Title Sequence Kane is in his bedroom laying out his police uniform and memorabilia. He has three flashbacks of his life, in the police force. First one is of him getting kicked out the force. Second one, is when he is left helpless, seeing a criminal escape. The last one is of him losing his temper. Then it changes back to him being in the bedroom, throwing his clothes off the bed in anger.
