Review: Multiplication Sign Rules Negative times a Negative is Positive Positive times a Positive is Positive Negative times a Positive is Negative Anything times 0 is 0

Reciprocal: AKA Multiplicative Inverse NumberReciprocalProduct ¾4/3¾ (4/3) = /6-6(-1/6) = 1 Zero does not have a reciprocal since the product of any number and 0 is 0. Two nonzero real numbers are reciprocals if their product is zero.

Examples Find the reciprocal 1.) 7 1/7 2.) -1/ ) /6 = 5/3 = ) /4 = -5/2 = -2.5

Definition of Division For all real numbers m and n. n ≠ m
