Specialties of my home state (Maryland)

In Maryland, crabs are steamed with “Old Bay” seasoning…

We also eat spicy crab cakes

We even fry “soft shell” crabs and eat the whole crab…

…usually as a sandwich.

But there is one thing we do not eat… …female crabs!

In Maryland, we only eat male crabs…

Corn on the cob is the usual side dish at a crab feast… We add butter and salt to our corn.

No corn beats “Maryland Silver Queen” corn!
