August Supplies and Service Supplies - inputs (materials and equipment needed to grow crops and livestock) Service - skilled people who assist with production

August Production Agriculture The farming part of the agriculture Includes: crops, livestock, livestock products and sometimes tree farms

August Production Agriculture Farming is specialized today – most farmers produce only 1 or 2 crops or products. Most farmers in the US today sell all that they grow and buy their food at the supermarket.

August Production Agriculture Examples of agricultural crops: rice, cotton, wheat, corn, soybeans, sorghum, vegetables, fruit, berries, nuts, trees.

August Marketing and Processing Food needs to be kept safe and secure. Safety - keeping food safe and wholesome to eat with no accidental contamination. Food is inspected by the USDA.
