Age of Exploration

You and your family are watching television. Your favorite program has been interrupted by a news bulletin from the government!

Families. Your country needs families to volunteer to be the first Earthlings to travel to and settle a newly discovered Earth-like planet. In return for settling this planet, you will be granted rights to 160 acres of land. All studies have indicated that the planet has climate zones similar to our own world and will support human life. The rest is unknown. The journey to reach this new planet will most likely last two years. Families, your country needs you. Three other nations are, at this very moment, organizing their own expeditions to this new world. It is up to you to win this race into space.

Do you have a pioneering spirit? Are you prepared to be part of a new generation of explorers?

If so, be at the planning meeting at Time Warner Arena at 3:00 this Saturday afternoon!

Saturday afternoon finds you and your family in seats at the arena. You have decided that yours should be one of the pioneering families.

It is now time to plan for the trip, and for the settlement on the new world.

The last time humans visited another celestial body in our solar system was during the exploration f the moon during the 1960’s and 1970’s. You are part of the next generation of explorers.

Planners of this settlement program have taken inspiration from an old television show. They have given the program the code name, Star Trek, The Next Generation.
