Do Radish Seeds Grow Better In Tap Water or Distilled Water? By: Regina Nick LeeAnne
Hypothesis Our team thought that tap water would be better. Tap- Contains small amounts of minerals for example copper, zinc, arsenic, calcium, and magnesium. Distilled- No minerals.
Our Purpose To prove our hypothesis To see if tap or distilled water is better for plants.
What we did. We planted radishes. We watered them with equal amounts in a fixed time period. We recorded our progress.
The Results. Distilled- 8 Alive, average height of 7 cm. Tap- 6 Alive, average height of 8 cm. Distilled was better because its average height was clearly higher. Before the two plants in “tap” was dead their heights were about even, however after their deaths ”tap” ended up higher individually, but not in average.
