4 CADMOS – POIWG Inc33-34 I July 24th-26th, 2012 I Huntsville REVERSIBLE FIGURES Perceived reversals during visualization of perspective-reversible figures Science overview The objective of this experiment is to investigate whether the perception of ambiguous figures is affected by microgravity. The experiment will compare the percept reversals during the visualization of perspective-reversible figures in astronauts before, during and after long-term duration exposure to microgravity. Free floating required Main Hardware ESA MultiPurpose Payload Laptop Visor, Trackball, dedicated Hard disk, PCMCIA Card Subjects Inc 33-34: S. Williams, K. Ford and C. Hadfield (Prime) T. Marshburn (reserved) Second subject out of 6 Implementation Up to 6 sessions per subject, 4 prime + 2 reserve Crew time 65 min per session + 10 min after last session for data downlink Data Data stored on experiment hard disk and PCMCIA card downlink to ground via OCA Photo / Video Video desired for ops support and science requirements check

11 CADMOS – POIWG Inc33-34 I July 24th-26th, 2012 I Huntsville MARES Commissioning Part 2 Operational test of MARES with a man in the loop Commissioning overview Since MARES ESA commissioning Part 2 is aiming at checking MARES operability for human use, it will mainly be based on the SARCOLAB protocol in order to include a “man-in-the-loop” test protocol. This will allow the run of a realistic scenario with respect to operational aspects. Main Hardware DAMEC: NASA Ultrasound 2 device, HRF Rack CADMOS: MARES Payload, PEMS-2 (Percutaneous Electrical Muscle Stimulator), an ESA EMG (Electromyographic) device, EPM Laptop, and EPM Rack Subjects Subject: C. Hadfield and Operator: T.
