6 OHIP – What we do Manages nearly 20,000 homes Significant contribution as an employer - over 950 staff working within Oldham Over £260m capital investment into the Borough over the next 3 years including Private Finance Initiative 4 Over the next 3 years building 250 new homes through the Affordable Homes programme Plus 400 new other affordable homes being delivered Working to deliver Oldham’s Housing Strategy

7 Vision and Aims Vision: By working in effective partnership with others to help make Oldham a better place to live and to increase the life opportunities for residents. Aim: To influence, support and contribute to the implementation and delivery of the Oldham and Rochdale Housing Strategy and Oldham’s current community strategy

10 Successes Promote Life Opportunities [ Case Study: “Access to Work”] Joint working across Oldham & Rochdale 15 volunteering/work experience opportunities and 44 apprentices employed 62 different capacity building activities run to prepare people for work or training Referred 1,054 tenants for further benefits advice Maximise Investment – [Case Study: Accessible Housing Project] Delivered 112 new affordable homes Jointly funded an Accessible Housing Co-ordinator to make best use of adapted properties Invested in community facilities
