All about the Muscular System

Why is the Muscular System Important? The muscular system makes every part of your body move. You cannot move anything in your body without using a muscle. Why is the Muscular System Important?

How does the muscular system work? Your brain can tell a muscle to contract (get tight) or relax (get loose).

What are the main parts of the muscular system and what do they do?

Deltoids are your shoulder muscles. They make your shoulder move.

Tibialis Anterior are leg muscles on your shin. They make your feet move up and down.

Include at least 4 more slides that show a part of the system and what that part does.

Did you know? The word muscle is comes from the Latin term musculus, meaning "little mouse". This could be because your biceps muscles moving under the skin can look like a mouse moving under a rug.
