Background: Childhood and Education Born in London, England on January 12, Iranian-British Attended school at a Roman Catholic all-girls school in England Studied Journalism because her sister back out of attending school. While she was going to school her family was kicked out of Iran. Her family lost everything. She later credited this experience as her inspiration for becoming a journalist.

Background: Education and Early Career Christiane graduated summa cum laude from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism entry-level assistant to the international assignment desk at CNN’s headquarters in Atlanta. Later, became a reporter for CNN at their New York bureau. Accepted the job became the networks leading international correspondent at the New York Bureau.
